Industry 4.0 & Digital Twin.

Digitization of manufacturing is rapidly growing and requires understanding of simulating various types of manufacturing processes and equipment for manufacturing companies to make decisions on equipment introduction, process changes, factory layouts and much more. Digital twins are being used to understand the impacts of such changes. A digital twin is a virtual representation of the physical assets, that can be employed to design, study, monitor, control, predict and correct. IIOT is a type of digital twin. Types of Digital Twin: Product, Process, Plant and Performance. To work with digital twins, trainees must have basic knowledge of several technologies: CAD, CAM, PLC, Sensors, Circuit design, etc. MTAB will support Siemens Suite , FlexSim Suite, Virtual Universe Pro, Catia, Automation Studio, etc.

As trainees, the MTAB Smart Manufacturing Hub will deliver skills training in:

  • Basics of digital twins
  • Designing digital twins
  • Parameterization of digital twins
  • Simulation of digital twins
  • Programming of digital twins
  • What-if modifications of digital twins

Some glimpses of Digital Twin.
